Explore Richmond’s vintage Christmas past at George Ranch Historical Park. The eagerly anticipated event features holiday activities and workshops sure to get you in the spirit as you learn to decorate with simple greenery, observe 19th century decorating trends, visit Santa for story time and bake and decorate sugar cookies.

The fourth annual Sugar Land Holiday Lights returns with more than 100 walkthrough displays and 2.5 million lights throughout the ballpark. This year will also feature a number of exciting additions including a carnival outside the ballpark, new theme nights and more. Santa Claus will also be available each night through Dec. 23, along with a variety of food trucks and children’s activities.

From the City of Sugar Land Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday, Dec. 7, to free photos with Santa, Sugar Land Town Center is the place to be for the holidays. Some highlights include a Giant Menorah Lighting Celebration on Dec. 13, Music and Mistletoe with First Colony Church of Christ happening Dec. 16 and live music from RamCorps, the brass and percussion troupe from the University of Mobile on Dec. 16.

The Discovery Center has put wonder at the top of their holiday gift-giving list. Take the kids out every week for a variety of activities including Starry Night, Dec. 8-14; Seasons of Sharing, Dec. 15-21; Shimmering Shine, Dec. 22-28 and Rockin’ New Year, Dec. 29-Jan.4. Awesome events this month include a Frozen-themed event on Dec. 16 and Cookies with Santa Dec. 23.

Santa will hold court at First Colony Mall and you can reserve time with him! Book a photo op so you can skip the line and have the elf to yourself. Make a reservation by Dec. 9 and save $5 off your photo package.
